Meet Dr. Greg Marlin

Victoria chiropractor Dr. Greg Marlin

A Career Built on Movement and Curiosity

Dr. Greg Marlin has spent more than 25 years helping people move better, recover from injury, and stay active. His interest in chiropractic care began early through sports injuries of his own and watching how regular chiropractic visits helped his father stay active and enjoy time on the golf course. That steady exposure sparked a curiosity about how the body works and how movement can be restored when it breaks down.

Dr. Marlin graduated from Palmer West Chiropractic College in 1998 and went on to practice in Calgary for 25 years. Much of that time was spent working with motor vehicle accident injuries, including whiplash and complex soft tissue concerns. After decades in Alberta, he relocated to Victoria, drawn to the energy of the community and the active lifestyle found on Vancouver Island.

A Practical and Evidence-Based Approach

Dr. Marlin takes a patient-focused approach that blends hands-on care with education and measurable progress. He also values today’s tools that help track change over time, using modern measurement technology to better understand progress beyond how someone feels day to day.

He combines chiropractic adjustments, myofascial release therapy, corrective exercise, and shockwave therapy to help improve mobility and function. He enjoys problem solving and helping people understand what is happening in their bodies so they feel confident taking an active role in their care.

Shockwave Therapy and Golf Biomechanics

Shockwave therapy is one area of focused interest for Dr. Marlin. It’s often used for stubborn soft tissue concerns such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon pain, elbow and shoulder irritation, knee overuse injuries, IT band discomfort, and chronic muscle tension. This approach can be helpful for people who have not achieved the results they want with other methods and are looking to return to activity.

Dr. Marlin also has a strong interest in golf biomechanics. Through movement assessment and targeted care strategies, he helps golfers improve efficiency, reduce strain, and stay on the course longer.
